Murder 2 Movie Review


So the Bhatts have come up with a new product which is a sequel of their own hit film, MURDER (2004). Mallika Sherawat is replaced by Jacqueline Fernandez. But apart from Emraan Hashmi, there's nothing to compare the two films. Even the plots are poles apart. In fact, MURDER 2 could have been named any other film. It clearly shows that the title was just used to cash in on the success of MURDER.

Inspired by a Korean film named THE CHASER, MURDER 2 stars Emraan Hashmi playing ex-cop Arjun Bhagwat. He now gets his daily bread by working for gangsters and pimps. Model Priya (Jacqueline Fernandez) is in love with Arjun but he only considers her to be his sex friend. "Na mohabbat, na zaroorat; sirf aadat," are the words he uses to describe her.

A Goan pimp entrusts him the task of finding the whereabouts of his several call girls who have mysteriously gone kaput. His search leads him to a psychopath Dheeraj Pandey (Prashant Narayan), who mercilessly kills women and girls by cutting them into several pieces.

After a raunchy item number featuring Yana Gupta right in the opening credits and a love making scene between Priya and Arjun, director Mohit Suri gets to the point with the main plot of the film. The narrative (which does get gory at times) is packed with numerous thrilling moments. One wonders how the film will unfold once Arjun gets hold of Dheeraj in the first half itself. But there is enough in store to keep you entertained. However, the second half does meander for a while.

Salman Khan, who is known for surprising his friends and colleagues with his kindness often, did something on the same lines recently. Apparently, the man is not just kind towards female stars or kids but also towards senior citizens and old actors.

So the story goes something like this that Salman Khan asked Raj Babbar for a favor to act as Kareena Kapoor's father in Bodyguard at the eleventh hour because Shatrughan Sinha who was earlier supposed to play the role had to quit due to date issues. Shatrughan ji was facing clashing dates for Bodyguard and his TV show - the Bhojpuri version of Kaun Banega Crorepati and so he gave up his role in Bodyguard.

Raj Babbar accepted the offer but refused to accept any payment from Salman for his role. However, Salman gave Raj Babbar ji a big surprise on the last day of his shoot for the film by gifting him a high end four wheeler.

It is said, Raj Babbar was shocked and so moved by the gesture that he was in tears.

Well, it is these very things that make Salman Khan so different from the rest of the actors. He may have some negative qualities but his heart is really genuine. He does show these gestures often even when he is getting nothing in return from such acts. I have not heard of Aamir Khan or SRK or the Bachchans for that matter do anything of this sort out of respect for senior actors.

It is these acts of Salman Khan that make his fans fall in love with him all over again.

Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif's fans are much delighted to hear the news that the two stars will have a kissing scene in their new flick "Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara".

Hrithik has had a track record of kissing sensuously yet in a decent manner with actresses like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Dhoom 2 and then later with Barbara Mori in Kites. Both the times, rumors and controversies were attached to the kissing scenes.

Even this time round, it was heard that Hrithik wanted the kissing scene with Katrina Kaif to be edited. However, Hrithik has denied all these rumors. He has been consistent when he says that if a kiss is needed in the script that it is important to give it a 100% to make it look real.

Well, I remember this kissing part controversy in the previous years. Even when the whole world was talking about the Dhoom 2 kiss with Aishwarya and the Bachchans wanted it to be removed from the movie, Hrithik said even then that he did his best to make the scene look real. He said even then that every scene is equally important and treats every scene in the same manner.
