Ragini MMS actually also insults cheap thrills

Monday, June 13, 2011 0 comments

Yesterday I had the misfortune to watch Ragini MMS. I call it a misfortune, cause I have seen better stuff. This was supposed to be a horror movie but they were playing with 2 or 3 positions. I just can’t say they were insulting sex; it was all so gross & boring. I think they were insulting the very idea of pornography in their own way.

Don’t watch the movie but do watch the crap that’s available on YouTube. You even get to see what they have been doing in rehearsals. The never-ending kissing scenes can make you puke. On top of it, whenever the lady started moaning, you would just want to bang your head against the wall. Now that’s an exaggeration but I’m sure you get my point.

Pawan Kripalani couldn’t execute anything in the right way. Since he was making a horror movie, but all along he was playing with things that he had no idea how to pull…naturally he failed everyone. But yes if you are into really cheap thrills, (that can get you excited to kiss just about anyone) then it’s the movie for you. I think servants would like it more, cause both Raj Kumar Yadav & Kainaz Motivala have no class whatsoever. But the girl is better than that ugly guy.

However, they must be following the directions of Pawan & I think Ekta Kapoor & Shobha Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms must have more fun than the actors who couldn’t act & neither could they kiss nicely. It was quite irritating when the guy’s ass was all over the screen. I feel so sorry for all those who must have seen it on the big screen. On top of it, they were both wearing such dirty rags. And the guy was quite a meanie. Any girl who has a little higher standard would just slap him rather than smooch him forever.

Only one innocent question pops up: Ekta Kapoor kay dimaag mein kya chalta hai? It’s not that we don’t think about such stuff. We do but when you see these actors, you won’t even have the urge to kiss anyone. There’s nothing sexy about it. No wonder they took just 25 days to shoot this shit. I believe these people were trying to explore couple of things such as age-old positions, the word ‘erotic’ in not so sexy way, & kissing as if you may die the next minute. I really can’t recall if there was any element of horror.

Pankaj Sabnani from Glamsham very rightly said, "Ragini MMS isn't worth 'circulating', if you have a large appetite for horror." Moreover, I absolutely agree with Aniruddha Guha from DNA who said, "Watch Ragini MMS only if you dig cheap thrills. But don’t worry about losing sleep thereafter."

Some people also blackened the faces of these actors even before the film was released. They blackened just the posters, not the real actors. I wonder how they reacted after watching the movie.

It’s my observation & I could be wrong but Yadav & Kainaz were more intimate in the leaked video, which could be a deliberate attempt to promote the movie. In spite of that they couldn’t make out like others. Whatever it was, it was too boring & monotonous. They were so bad & ordinary. I guess they cannot even give thrill to the lower class either. It seems as if there was a lot of passion bottled up inside someone (read the director & the producer) & he/she totally messed up on the screen. They need to learn a bit more about wet kisses, I suppose. If the movie was all about smooching, saliva, kind of sex that only revolved around 2 very old positions & not at all sexy noises…it could have been done in a better way.

Vidya Balan's Bath Tub Scene In Dirty Pictures

Vidya Balan is busy working in Ekta Kapoor's Dirty Pictures in which she will play the oddly dirty Silk Smitha.

The latest news on Vidya is that she had to do a scene for Dirty Pictures in which she had to step into a bath tub filled with soapy water wrapped in a towel. However, as she entered into the tub her skin felt itchy. In fact, the itchiness developed into a red rash quickly and spread all over her body.

Sadly, the shoot for the day was cancelled as Vidya suffered from an allergic reaction as she was sent to the hospital for treatment immediately. She is recovering.

I saw Ekta Kapoor's Raginni MMS recently, which was a terrible copy of Paranormal Activity. It was more like a porn movie and was indeed quite dirty. Dirty Pictures has an entire plot of dirty slutty stuff but with well known actors. I am not sure if this is something I am too fond of watching but if I'll get to see it by chance then I'd write a review on it.

Ragini MMS Amidst Back To Back Controversies

Monday, May 9, 2011 0 comments

Ekta Kapoor's 'Ragini MMS' has come under the umbrella of controversies. One after the other, the movie has received lots of criticism even before it got released.
Last week, the Censor board asked the filmmaker to delete these provocative and vulgar scenes from the film.

Now, the movies's hoarding have angered a lot of people. Some people blackened the faces of lead actors Rajkumar and Kainaz on the hoardings. While in some places near Andheri and Bandra the posters have been torn or damaged by angry protesters who feel they are way too vulgar.

Amidst all this controversy, Ekta Kapoor's Ragini MMS will be released in May Friday the 13th but Ekta and her team is already quite upset with the mean response they have received already.

I don't really get the reason why there is so much of negativity. The poster is pretty normal and not something out of this world or very provocative. And it is a bit hypocritical when we have already seen such wild and steamy intimate scenes on numerous occasions in Hindi movies. They are being too harsh on a low budgeted film.

Get Ready For Kya Kool Hai Hum Sequel

Monday, April 11, 2011 0 comments

After the massive success of the adult comedy - Kya Kool Hai Hum? Ekta Kapoor and brother Tusshar Kapoor wanted to make a sequel of the film. It was considered to be a surprise success of 2005 and they wanted to make another part for it.

However, throughout these years the siblings were unable to crack the right idea for a sequel. But when the film's writer Sachin Yardi came to these guys with an idea both brother and sister were quite impressed. So much so, they even decided to give Sachin the responsibility of directing the movie as well.

Although, Sachin's debut directorial work was a flop, they still believe he will do the job just fine as it is his idea. They will start shooting the sequel this year only.

Obviously, Tusshar is part of the cast. Riteish Deshmukh too has confirmed that he is working in Kya Kool Hai Hum sequel. However, Isha Koppikar and Neha Dhupia will be replaced by newer faces.

I remember, the movie was quite different from the rest of the movies. It did make one laugh big time. All the characters were lots of fun to watch. I hope the sequel is as good as the original too.

Ekta’s Ragini MMS to have steamier love scenes

Tuesday, March 29, 2011 0 comments

Ekta believes that sex scenes in Ragini MMS ought to be far more steamier than what we have witnessed so far as they are integral to the paranormal happenings in the story. But just don’t raise your expectations, cause we are invariably disappointed.

Young actors Rajkumar (last seen in the controversial bare-butt sex scene in LOVE SEX AUR DHOKHA) and Kainaz Motivala (who played Tanya in WAKE UP SID) have been asked to re-shoot some intimate on-screen moments on April 3. Anyhow, it’s not big day for any of us. Both Raj Kumar & Kainaz are okay looking people.

Remarks Ekta, 'There's no intention to titillate. I don't want the chemistry between the actors to look contrived. The relationship between a beautiful Mumbai girl and an aggressive North-Indian boy needs to look believable and authentic.'

Ekta Kapoor haunted; changes film’s title!

Saturday, January 15, 2011 0 comments

When it comes to this ‘Queen of Television’, one can naturally expect some spirituality associated with her projects….

Latest heard from producer Ekta Kapoor is that she has changed the spelling of her upcoming release ‘Raginni MMS’. The sensuous paranormal offering will now be called ‘Ragini MMS’ (an extra 'n' gets dropped). It is believed that she asked for the name change because of the bizarre incidents that occurred during the film’s shoot.

Ekta happened to discover that someone had died in the bungalow at Dahanu, where the film was shot. The film’s director Pawan Kirpalani says, “Filming Ragini MMS was an unsettling and surreal experience. I don’t know if the bungalow was haunted, but interestingly the caretaker had died in his room and his personal belongings were still lying there when we started shooting, eventually the crew had to shift his stuff out. The spooky experiences led us to believe that maybe it’s a bad move to mess with things that belong to dead people."

The director adds that frequent freak accidents occurred while shooting. “One of the boys got burnt while cooking for the crew, while the male lead Raj Kumar (Love Sex Aur Dhokha) hurt himself while shooting a scene in which he was actually supposed to get hurt.”

Daily calls from the unit about such accidents troubled Ekta who refused to go on set. Her numerologist is said to have suggested the spelling change to ease things out.

Phew! Hope the new title will help to ward off the evil from the film….

‘Ragini MMS’ is likely to release in March-April.
