Ram Gopal Varma was quite impressed to see Kangna Ranaut's amazing performances in movies like Gangster and Woh Lamhe. He always wanted to cast her in his movie but in a meaningful and important role.

So, it has been confirmed that Kangna will work in Ram Gopal's next dark action drama - 'Department'. He will cast her opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Yes, they were already working together, though not as a couple in GAME but this time round Kangna will play the role of Abhishek's wife.

Department is a story about three cops who want to do extra constitutional activities to maintain the safety of the society. Hmmm, this doesn't sound like such a new idea.

Anyway, Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Abhishek are the three cops. Kangna is the only lady in the movie and her role is intense and significant in the sense that she is the only person with whom Abhishek will be able to talk about his agony.

Kangna's birthday bash was being celebrated in her Bandra house. She tried to celebrate her 24th birthday in a big way but the party was spoilt in many ways.

Firstly, a lot of big celebs didn't turn up on her birthday bash like Sanjay Dutt and Manyata Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Hrithik Roshan and Ekta Kapoor.

There were rumors that Madhavan & Kangna have a fight, cause she was trying to grab the limelight for the film’s promotion, but it’s not true. And you can’t say you’re attracted to a person & you’re fond of her, if you had such a huge fight.

"I am very fond of Kangana and attracted to her. I feel she is an extremely competent actor, very professional and she has actively contributed to the role for the first time," Madhavan said.

"As an actor, I have never worked with a heroine who does that. They (other heroines) are happy doing what the script demands from them but Kangana is the one who was pushing the envelope. I hope I can do another film with Kangana, I really enjoyed working with her," he said.

Moreover, Kangna was not hogging the limelight for the film's promotion.

"Unfortunately, it's wrong news," he said. "Kangana is shooting in Bangkok, so she did her character's (Tanu) promotion earlier," he said.

"There is absolutely no reason to be upset with her and I am really missing her."

Tanu Weds Manu is all set to hit the theatres on 25^th Feb.

"I don't know why this romantic tag stuck with me for so long. They (directors) want it, so I give them that. I am not going to fight it. This is a different kind of romantic story. It's not a cliche 'hold my hand and get into a fight' later on kind of story. It's very real and I don't remember if I have seen such a romantic film ever," said Madhavan, who plays the role of Manu in the film.

About the film, Madhavan said: "Manu is brought up in a small town in a middle class family, very happy with whatever his parents have in mind for him, no rebellious quality unnecessarily. He goes to London, spends eight to nine years and comes back with his tradition intact, like most Indian guys from small towns do.

"What happens is you forget that in the span of time of your staying abroad, your town has changed-McDonalds, MTV, all have come in and people are having flings for the sake of it and suddenly there is a complete mismatch in the opposite direction.

"You are an Indian, she is westernized, you are a conformist, she is rebellious and there is a mismatch. But love has its own course."

Madhavan wants to do different kinds of roles. Although Tanu Weds Maun is comical, but it has no comedy as such. He has done hard-core comedy films in Tamil & he wants to do hard-core comedy in Hindi cinema as well. He has signed 2 more Hindi movies lately.

Guys, do you remember days when Madhavan was hero & Saif played a very small role? I guess the name of the movie was Rehna hai is dil mein or something like that. In fact there was another movie Biwi # 1 in which Saif also played a very small role. Why do people forget their good old days when people didn’t notice them?

Mika Singh & Rakhi - we can so totally understand why Kangna said no, but Rakhi says this kiss was planted. When I saw this pic, I literally had the urge to puke. It's so disgusting.

Rakhi Sawant is mad at Kangna Ranaut’s recent comment on the Kangna-Mika kiss ruckus.

Kangna recently refused to kiss the singer Mika Singh for a film shoot & said “I am no Rakhi Sawant to do something like this” It was supposed to be a lip-lock thingy, which has transformed into a full-fledged phenomenon.

And this has enraged Rakhi, who said, “How dare Kangna do her publicity gimmicks, firing from my shoulder. I have never kissed Mika. He had forcibly planted one on me and the world knows that. If Kangna is so publicity hungry, she should have kissed Mika for the song and become famous. Why resort to talking about Rakhi Sawant to gain mileage.”

With battle lines drawn, a new war seems to have just begun here,” remarked Rakhi’s publicist.

And we are certainly looking forward to it. It’s unbelievable that Kangna said such a stupid thing. She could have said no rather than dragging someone else’s name. And she has kissed a number of times & I guess it has been different every time. This is just my humble opinion. The point is…there was no need to throw mud at Rakhi Sawant while saying no. We can understand that no one would even like to think about kissing Mika Singh.
